Commissioner Sola Meets with Ex-Im President Reed
Commissioner Louis Sola and Kimberly A. Reed, President and Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, met recently to discuss issues related to international trade.
Topics discussed included challenges some U.S. companies must overcome to access and compete in certain overseas markets, the competitive advantage well functioning supply chains can create for exporters, and the critical role container shipping plays in getting products manufactured in the United States to consumers in other nations.
“It was heartening to hear Ms. Reed speak about how ocean shipping helps get American products to global customers efficiently and economically. I am proud of the Commission’s role in making certain U.S. exporters benefit from a marketplace for ocean transportation services that is competitive.”
