Commissioner Daniel B. Maffei visits Singapore for Global Maritime Forum

In late October, Commissioner Maffei traveled to Singapore to participate in the Global Maritime Forum 2019 Annual Summit. The Commissioner also visited the Port of Singapore.

As a part of the Global Maritime Forum Annual Summit events, Commissioner Maffei met Mr. Lam Pin Min, the Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Transport.

The summit presented a unique opportunity to discuss important issues the shipping industry is facing, including decarbonization, digitization, improving safety. The participants discussed how to attract the right talent to the maritime industry and considered ideas for action that will shape the future of the industry. An in-depth report from the Annual Summit will be published by the Global Maritime Forum later this year.
