On February 6, 2020, Commissioner Maffei was honored to attend the New York and New Jersey Foreign Freight Forwarders and Brokers Association Annual Dinner where they celebrated David F. Adam, Chairman and CEO of the United States Maritime Alliance, as the association’s 2020 Person of the Year. He was pleased to participate in the afternoon panel discussion with representatives from Customs Central Examination Centers and the Federal Drug Administration. Commissioner Maffei discussed ongoing issues in the maritime industry and the FMC’s 2020 priorities.
