Commissioner Sola Attends Event Welcoming Explora 1 to PortMiami

Commissioner Louis E. Sola attended an event held at PortMiami on November 3, 2023, that celebrated the maiden call of the cruise ship Explora 1.

During the event, Commissioner Sola met with Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and the two discussed developments at PortMiami, trends in the maritime industry, and the important economic drivers the ocean cargo and cruise sectors are to the Southern Florida economy.

The two also bonded over their many common connections and interests as long-term residents of Miami-Dade County.

Explora 1 is operated by Explora Journeys, a part of the MSC Group.
